She was sitting at her terrace eyeing heavily at the Sun. This was her favourite hour of the day. She simply loved to see the sun setting. The sky was painted in all the colours and the aura of the moment made her feel blessed. The breeze around her was getting softer as the Sun bade them farewell for a yet few hours. “The Sun would rise soon”, she sighed grimly and started to think. She could hear the church bells ring!
She was looking stunning in her white wedding gown with her dark brown hair hanging loose on her shoulders, smoothering her cheeks and kissing them at the slightest pretense. Her eyes serene could hardly conceal what she felt at that moment-Eternal Bliss! It had been difficult convincing her parents but eventually they consented and their marriage was a simple, yet a big event. She always knew Adam would keep her happy, and he did, at least as long as he lived. They had a contended life and Adam was a perfect husband. He would do everything, which he thought made her happy but those did not matter to her. She would say “all that matters to me is you Adam and the time I spend with you” and she would be right.
Time flew by when they were together and she would always cherish those moments. But luck gave her the hardest blow when she was six months pregnant. Adam’s death made her insane but she could still feel Adam inside her. And then Rosa was born. She adored her. Now all that bothered her was Rosa’s future.
Suddenly she was hit by a loud whirl of wind and she was awaken from her reverie. The memories had been perfect but still something was aching inside her. What was it? Adam? Rosa? or….
Yes it was her present. But she could hardly do anything for Rosa. She was destined without a parent. She sluggishly left for Rosa’s room. Rosa was a perfect six-month-old beauty. “Oh child! Bless you! Please forgive your mother” she silently prayed and left the house slowly across the blocks and entered the lawn of her new home where she would not be staying with Rosa. But she wasn’t alone. Adam was waiting.
She slowly walked towards him and followed his gaze to the grave he was staring at. The obituary read “Mrs. Adam Parker”
And then the Sun set...
