The Stars Shine Down!

The Stars did shine down for the Taare Zamin Par...

Ishan Awasthi spends 8 years of his life in a spectacularly colourful world, and gets a rude shock in lieu of surviving his parent’s expectations from him. Though he is not directly compared to his elder brother Youhan, who edges him almost everywhere, the hitch that he is nowhere closer either is deeply etched in his nubile mind. The toothy grin fades eventually as he is ruthlessly placed in a hostel where Ishan looses his unearthly dreams in the cry to read and write!

The detailed realties of childhood like profoundly digging noses, staring endlessly in void, weaving dreams carefully and then the much detested "Get out from my class" from the teaches are thrown back at us so finely that they bring back us our childhood, certainly leaving for us a wide grin to relish..
But childhood was not easy for Ishan till Ram (Aamir) comes to his rescue only after intermission.

The movie all in all is an emotional feast that has fine lyrics, good music and extreme sensitivity in direction served in hearty proportions to win all hearts.

Aamir has been mind blowing in his directional debut letting Darsheel (Ishan Awasthi) lead from the top and mesmerize his audiences.

The movie to no ones surprise received a "Standing Ovation" as the curtain falls leaving Darsheel swung in Aamir’s arms!
